What ScopeLink is
ScopeLink is a tool, run by the operator of this ScopeLink site, for describing a small residential job and collecting quotes from contractors you invite. It is in a pilot and is provided as it is, free of charge, and may change or stop.
What it is not
ScopeLink is not a contractor, a marketplace, a payment service or a party to any agreement between an owner and a contractor. It does not verify anyone’s identity, license or insurance, does not inspect property, and does not check that work is safe, permitted or built to code. Readiness labels and arithmetic in the app describe the information entered; they are not a guarantee that it is accurate.
Your responsibilities
- Only request work on property you own or are authorized to manage.
- Only upload photos and documents you have the right to share. Do not upload tenant names, access codes or other people’s personal details.
- Treat invitation links as keys. Anyone holding a link can read that packet until you switch it off.
- Check licenses, insurance, permits and any written agreement yourself before work starts.
- Do not use the service to harass anyone, to break the law, or to probe or overload it.
Quotes
A quote in ScopeLink is the contractor’s own statement. Shortlisting, start planning and acknowledgements recorded in the app are records between the two of you. They are not a contract made by or through ScopeLink.
Ending use
You can stop using ScopeLink at any time. Accounts that abuse the service may be closed. To have your account and its data deleted, contact the person who invited you to ScopeLink.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties, and the operator is not liable for losses arising from quotes, work, or decisions made using it.
